05 RSX Type S
I was driving back on the freeway from picking up a replica mugen lip, When I started hearing a knocking noise. I pulled out of the freeway thinking it was maybe a bad axle, Did not find anything so I kept driving, Knocking noise started to get louder, And the noise also would go away when I put the clutch in or when the car was in neutral, Got back home jacked up my car on both front wheels had a friend give it gas on 1st gear, Got underneath the car and the knocking is coming from the transmission, Sounds like if their is some teeth missing inside, I also spun one wheel while the car was turned off and noise happens at about the second spin, Sound happens wether i spin the left wheel or the right wheel. I was trying to find information but i just kept bumping into old threads. Was reading maybe it can be missing teeth on the diff? Or perhaps missing teeth on the final drive gear? Should have it fixed sometime this coming month. If this is the case ill have to get my transmission rebuilt right?
