Hi guys , so I have a 06 type s with 130k miles. Recently from ~2-3k rpm while in neutral or in gear there is a loud rattle coming from the chain side of the engine (on top). ive already removed the axle heat shield, exhaust manifold heat shield is not making noise and I have race headers so the sound is not from there. i can feel and hear it from the top of the chain side. I also got a new after market chain tensioner lasty year(barkley or some brand) Question is should I change the VTC(does it cause a rattle if its bad?)
get an original tensioner?
or get a new chain or chain tensioners(alot more work obviously)?
