My RSX has had its SRS light on for a while now. I used tutorials online to read the code saying the issue is the "seatbelt buckle tensioner deployed." I had not even known that buckles did this until I read the code and sure enough looking at my belt buckle it was all scrunched up while the other one was not. I was going to get the dealership to fix this except that they keep telling me that even getting to diagnose it won't happen for about a week. Otherwise buying the replacement myself would cost $280.
I decided to just buy a replacement from ebay for $70 instead and installed it today. Everything in the install went pretty smooth. Once it was all installed and plugged up I figured I would still have to reset the light and I followed the guide on here with the paperclip in the yellow plug.
I tried dozens of times to reset the light and every time instead of the quick double blink at the end, I got a single long blink , and then it came back on. This happened every time, but I can't find any information online of this ever happening to anyone else.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated!
