2006 Base RSX Front Eibach Sway Bar Noise

Hello everyone,

I have a 2006 base RSX. I went to the shop, and they installed the Eibach front sway bar. The mechanic told me that I didn't need to replace my end links because they're still tight even after the front sway bar was install.

After a few weeks of driving, I noticed every time I turned to the right there is a noise coming from the front passenger area of the car. I took my car back to the shop and the mechanic said the front sway bar slides and hits the front right frame of my car whenever I do a right turn. They have never seen this issue before from an RSX even though they've installed the same sway bar on their Type-S RSX. He even went further and told me that the Type-S RSX has a lip in the middle of the sway bar and for some reason my base model doesn't have the same lip.

I was wondering if anyone on the forums had ran into this same issue?

acceleation/laggy

Hi guys I own a 04 rsx type s, with 178,000. I have CAI, test pipe, catback exhaust, skunk 2 ivtec, hondata intake manifold gasket which is the blue gasket and reflash with the 8.1k rev limiter. One day I am driving home from work and I feel that whenever I try to hold a certain speed I feel the car jumpy, so I pulled over to inspect the motor (keep in mind I have no CEL) no visible issues. Then I drive the car when I start in 1st I heard a slight knocking noise and the hard has issues to accelerate around 1.6k rpms. Its not a constant knocking. I have swapped ECU, most of the sensors.
Knock sensor
VTC valve
Camshaft position sensors
MAP sensor
IAT
I cleaned the IACV just to get it out of the way
Only 93 octane
Checked injectors, spark plugs, coils and those are good as well
So in my thinking I think I bent a valve so I swap the motor and the same issue persist. The noise comes from the passenger side I would have to say from around cylinder one. But I have noticed that from a cold start 80 degree weather the acceleration is fine under load or idling. as soon as it gets to operating temperatures it will hesitate around 1.6k

New owner

Didn't search for long, was after a Celica, and always thought the Rsx would be too expensive. Found a 02 DSM with 178xxx but has just about zero rust as it was a Florida car. Nice to see so much info here, but it's hard to find current info and members appear to take more words to bitch about not searching enough as opposed to just answering the question. I'll try not to irritate.

Let's see. Lowered springs, 17 or 18's and $$$$:rest

Whining cabin noise

My rsx is making this whining noise when I rev up in RPMS, but I can only hear the sound in the cabin on the right side I don't hear anything in the engine.

Exhaust leak

Got a k24a2 swap dc5 with asp headers and custom exhaust, i have a squeaky noise that
I am pretty sure is an exhaust leak, my car also runs rich, so when i let off the throttle it will start popping (backfires) and squealing, it is more of a high pitched noise so i assume it could be from within the slip on headers, not sure where to start any suggestions?

race header with a high flow cat

Hey folks, I bought a DC race header with a magnaflow high flow car welded to it..
Question, will my car still throw a CEL or not if I dont use a o2 defouler?

Max Racing front bumper

Looking into getting a Max Racing front bumper wanted to know if there were any decent reps out there before is shell out $900 for a real one. I saw a few that kinda look like it on VIS but I'm not entirely sure, I'm not opposed to buying the real one I will if there are no reps and I have to but I'd rather spend $900 on a new one; if there are reps any out there could anyone post up a link. Thanks

Potential New Owner

Hello! I may be a new owner of an 06 RSX Type S. I'm currently debating on whether to trade my 04 RX8 for an 06 Type S. It's not the car I wanted, but after looking into it the Type S might not be a bad idea. Wish me well and if you want to tell me your opinion on the trade do so! :)

SPOON FULL EXHAUST 4-2-1-B-Pipe-Street-Axle-Back

I thought I'd share what I installed yesterday. This is gonna be my first time to post on a show off thread so I guess this is worth a try.
Spoon Full Exhaust 4-2-1-B-Pipe-Street Axle-back

4-2 Headers

2-1 Downpipe

B-Pipe

Spoon Axleback "Street" Type

4-2-1-B-PIPE

Street Axleback

Installation was a breeze, easy bolt on just like OEM. It all fit together as one on the DC5 with zero issues. I haven't used a defouler plug yet but so far I haven't encountered any "check engine"
light yet. Performance is day and night coming from a Full ITR Exhaust. Engine responds great.
I'll post some videos on idle and on high revs in the future.

SPOON FULL EXHAUST 4-2-1-B-Pipe-Street-Axle-Back

FS: JDM DC5 ITR "Polished" AXLEBACK & DC5R B-PIPE

Hi SoCal,
I'm selling my Type R B-Pipe and Type R Axleback which I bought in Novemeber of 2013 then decided to have the axleback professionally polished in Anaheim and it went out gorgeous. These two have been off my car since June of this year since I bought another used & discontinued axleback 3 months ago. Btw, these bad boys came off of 2004 ABP JDM DC5 ITR. There's no issues why I'm selling these it's just that I upgraded to something better and lighter. Spoon has been my first option which I did. This type r exhaust upgrade is greater than our USDM factory ones because of the larger diameter piping and tubing plus the axleback has this special mechanism inside that once it hits the certain rpm or vtec, the flow becomes more open and wider in which the sound becomes louder and the perfomance becomes better. There's no sound difference on idle between the Type S and R as far as I could remember, the R could be deeper but still sounded stock since they're not catback. It's a good daily commute as well as long trips while enjoying the more aggressive performance than stock. But hey it's also good at the track since they are Type Rs

Timeline:
11-26-2013
The day I got these axleback and the B pipe. The only thing that is polished was the muffler tip. I decided to bring this over to the Metal Polishing Shop to make it stood out.

01-06-2014
The day I got and unwrapped this piece. It took over a month because of the Christmas Holiday (every time I take a picture of stuff from me, I always put my alias and the date it was taken)

Im selling it for $300 for a set pick up in 92629. If you'd like I could refer you to the Polishing shop in Anaheim. Thanks guys

*it does come with hardwares like spring bolts but you have to buy new donut gaskets or re use your existing nuts, rubber hangers and triangular hangers"
