since the day of ur build when do u guy usually change ur timing chain and tensioner?maintenance?

another question is i am having a 2000 miles trip...i was wondering if the high compression build be ok to travel that far non stop other than gas and restroom stop...it my first high compression build so i dont want it to over heat or anything...any help i appreciated...
