Hi Everyone!! I've been a member here for a few years (buying/selling wheels since my last car ran similar specs) but I finally picked up an RSX Type-S this weekend!
The car is a 2002 in Silver with 248k miles and I picked her up for .... $1000!!!
A good friend of mine owned it for the last ~10 years and ~200k miles. She had a baby 6 months ago and between her and her husband, they have 4(!!) Evo X's. So no need for the RSX. She was going to DONATE her perfectly running car, but I offered to save it for however much her tax deduction would be.
A little about me: I'm a mechanical engineer by training and an IT Admin by trade living in the SF bay area. I'm no stranger to forums and working on my own car and have done a pretty extensive build on my last car, a 2003 Mazda Protege5. I sold that car just over a year ago and in December I sold my TDI back to VW because of Dieselgate, so I've been without a car the last couple months. Planning to buy a house with my fiance in the next few months so I needed a cheap daily to keep another loan off my name. This car will do just fine with a small build! I'll be posting a detailed build thread in the appropriate section. I look forward to building and learning about this car!
I'm also on Instagram: http://ift.tt/2lefiRJ
I am a partner at MemoryFab / MTechnica and will be running a set of our wheels.

My past Dieselgate TDI

My CURRENT RSX Type-S

Plans for the car are:
1. Restore all the old, faded, worn-out, broken bits with new OEM or upgraded aftermarket
2. Build a fun daily driver in an OEM+ style
3. Have fun and don't go too far!
