before the sound begun,
I had a misfire , so I took the valve cover off to check lashing. I didn't have the proper tools to actually turn the motor over so, yes like a dumbass, I would slightly crank the motor over with a bump to the ignition. The lashing was tight , I didn't adjust the lashing right there , I was in a rush and boss man wanted to go home, so I put everything back together.
After I reassembled it, I got onto the main steet and I heard this ticking/knocking noise. Me thinking it's obviously the lashing, I make nothing of it, beside that I have to do the lashing. The next day I did the lashing , titties, everything is going to be good... NOPE, noise is still there.
So over the course of 2-3 days with acquiring parts , I install the chain tensioner , make sure everything's perfect, checking the chain slack, looking at the guides seeing if any are broken, looks good. I did notice the oil pump tensioner is slightly loose on tension. So I replace that because I was already in there and didn't want to tear it apart again... So I thought ... Noise is still hanging out.. Like hey , I'm still here, I know you just spent a lot of money but I'm just going chill and not tell you where I'm at.. FUCK YOU NOISE .
At this point I know it's not the lashing because it happened before I even adjusted it..
So I'm left to think its the rods, that I got a beautiful knock, I got my bearings I'm doing a ghetto fix ( idc I need a quick fix ) what do you guys think? This is seriously my last option . Thanks in advance, sorry for the long post and run on sentence, I'm tired , sleep deprived from the nightmares from this motor. Help me out:mad::mad:
