02 RSX not starting?

A buddy of mines family member had this car sitting in there yard, I offered them 200 for it and they said yeah so I was like what the hell. Asked him what was wrong with it he said he didn't know, He had went through it and couldn't figure it out, When I try to start it, It just cranks over and never starts, Checked the spark nothing, took the fuel line off and turn the key and nothing. They had the car for 4 years and said about a month ago they were driving and it just shut off, He said that he got it running after that for a short time but it would idle rough and stall out if you put it in gear, not sure how he did that.

I have messed with it for a couple of days now and I am stumped, I have no idea what to do next, I wanted to fix it and use it to get around, the body on this thing is perfect.

I looked around and couldn't find an answer that I haven't tried, I'm on the verge of just posting the car and selling it as is.

Please Help.
