I recently purchased a bone stock dsm 03 rsx s from Florida and drove it back to New Mexico 2000 miles with my wife. I was excited to find a stock rsx for my new project car. Has 120k on the k20a2 and only the cat in the exhaust is causing the check engine light. It definately needs some tlc to bring it where I want it. I've listed in my last thread everything I found that needed work and my plans for the car so far.
True to my word. I started slowly. Got some honda type 2 and did a coolant flush. Next I have a Mobil 1 filter and penzoil platinum for a oil change on my next days off. Lithium greased the sunroof, and topped off all fluids. Have new cabin filters to put in also. So just basic tuning.
I did get one can of black plastidip and dipped my badges and my side mirrors were full of chips and lil faded so I dipped those too for now just to see how it'd look.
Plans:
Rims and tires. 17" not sure on width yet. But a fan of wide tires.
New motor mounts
Bushings set
Replace component speakers up front and remove rear speakers and subwoofer and leave out.
Retint windows.
Reupholster seats.
Cousins husband making me custom wood shift knob
Upgrade brake pads.
Injen max short ram intake
Exhaust still researching and deciding
Coil overs undecided.
Black retro headlights
Red out taillights
Buddy club short shifter
Sway bar
And after the bolt ons I'll see if I decide turbo or supercharger. Then bore out the k20. I kno I could upgrade to k24 but only if I killed my k20. I plan to do it slowly. But it will get done. I'll post updated pics as I go. I have a lot to learn. My first project car that I actually have money to work on it properly. This site is awesome and thank everyone who's every did a DIY and gave legit advice to those in need.
I know I'm a 16er haha and I'm 13yrs late owning my 03 dc5 but I'm determined to make it worth the wait.
