Throttlebody issue with weird speedometer issue

Hey guys,

Last week I noticed my speedometer dropping for a second or two out on the way to work, which progressivly got worse. CEL light came on and I thought it was just the speed sensor.

I decided to check the CEL code anyway and got p0122, throttle body low input voltage.

I thought that was strange as there were no other throttle body symptoms at the time, but since then I have noticed that the car seems more clunky in first gear while driving around in low speed and sometimes the throttle essentially dies or doesn't seem to open fully for a second or two at which point I take my foot off the accelerator, place it back on and then it's fine.

My speedometer doesn't work most of the time, I do find it is better after driving around for a little bit and the car warms up, it also seems to come back while I plant my foot down in WOT in a lowish gear. VTEC also stops working and it seems to be running rich, getting about 200km per tank instead of 300 or so.

Has anyone else had this issue before, I haven't seen a speedometer issue combined with a throttle body issue here. My car only threw out the one code. The car idles fine as well.

What are my options? I have a 2005 Type S. Realistically can cleaning the throttle body do anything? I went to a honda specialising mechanic and he said a new Throttle Body will be $1500 AUD as they dont sell the sensors by themselves and second hand Throttle bodies for the Type S are hard to find here in Australia. He said he may be able to replace the TPS from a similar era car but he can't make promises as they are closing down for the Christmas break.

Will any DC5 throttle body fit? I believe that K20A2 and 3 throttle bodies have different cabling arrangements but I am not sure. K20Z1 in my car. I'd rather buy one second hand one rather than forking out an amount that I can't afford, but I can't seem to find any Type S' in wreckers near me.

Any help would be appreciated!
