Bunch of questions. Please send help.

Hello all,

I was told that the performance-wise for bolt ons, the only thing that I should really be paying attention to is the header and the exhaust as they go hand-in-hand when it comes to the output in power for the car. Have I been told wrong? Could someone correct that for me? If that is the case, what is the best possible combination that I can do?

I currently have an 05 Base running at around 177k miles and I recently found out about the a2 cam swap. It was something I actually was considering to do down the line, but will I lose a lot of mpg? I've read that cam swaps alone is like an extra 40 hp, 35 hp at a minimum. For cam swapping, do I need to get a new a3 engine or can I just keep my original one? What other engine modifications can I do that will give me more power? Is there a thread with actual pictures that I could look at in this forum about cam swapping?

For bolt ons, if I go with the cam swap, would I be looking for things that would work with the k20a2 engine or with the k20a3 engine?

Please help me. I just have a ton of questions with no one to go to and I need help. Thank you.
