Rebuild Base or Rebuild Type S?

Should I buy a Type S and then rebuild it or should I just rebuild with my base 05 RSX that I have now?

Is there any difference in the handling or other specs?

What are the pros and cons to each?

Please let me know everything and what your opinions are. Thank you.
