So I recently bought an 02' Type S with an aftermarket alarm installed. Drove it for a week with no CEL on. The aftermarket alarm didn't work so I decided to remove it. CEL came on with a P1164 (A/F Sensor) hard code. Diagnosed it according to the All Data Pro procedures and the sensors are all good eliminating the coincidence factor with the alarm removal. The alarm removal was pretty straight forward but I'm also not an electrical wizard. Checked all the wiring under the drivers and passenger dash and couldn't pinpoint the problem with any connections. Anyone been in the same boat as I am right now and point me to the right direction? Anyone know which wires under the dash are directly connected to the A/F sensor circuit? Any info will be of great help.
