Hey all,
I just wanted to post my rear spoiler mod to get some feedback. I purchased my Type S for a daily driver and when I bought it the previous owner had removed the Type S spoiler (I would have done the same). I really felt like the car needed some kind of spoiler to finish off the rear. I'm more of a drag racer than a coarse racer so I decided after looking at all the available options to buy, that I would just make one. I started with cardboard and made a template. Using magnets I placed the template on the car so I could cut and shape it to my liking. Once I was happy with the cardboard, I took the cut out to a local fab shop where they used a plasma cutter to cut a piece of 20 Gauge aluminum for me. I then shaped the cutout by hand and mounted it to the existing spoiler holes. Once I was happy with the fit I had it painted to match the car. The whole project cost me $250 plus my labor. What do you think?
