I have a 2002 RSX Base 5-speed, engine has about 108K miles. I started noticing a rattle noise coming from the tensioner and saw how much it moved during idle. Didn't check the arrow indicators but I'm pretty sure either the belt and/or the tensioner is going bad.
So instead of guessing and doing the job twice, I'm planning on replacing both parts. There's no way I can afford an OEM tensioner from Honda, so its either spending ~$80 on a gates tensioner from Autozone, or spending a little extra on a K-Tuned Tensioner for $100.

My question is, has anyone installed this on their RSX and will it work on my stock base rsx? I searched and haven't found any reviews on it. Also, should I go for OEM honda spec belt, or go for a smaller sized belt discussed here.
