Had a "friend of a friend" replace clutch on my 2002 RSX type S. During replacement, I was I formed that he accidentally broke the Knock Sensor while putting Starter back in. He assured me he ordered & replaced a new one. Car was delivered with no mention of the check engine light was on. Thought nothing of it, thinking it was due to possibly Knock sensor code just needed to be cleared. Then had a couple unusual instances while refueling. Car refused to fully turn over as it knocked, spitted & sputtered..Even after turning ignition off it kept this up..Turning ignition back on just gave that familiar starter sound. This lasted for little over 60 seconds before it finally fired up..Also noticed that Battery light flashes when going over hard bumps in the road. Battery is secure, terminal connects good, harness tight and serpentine belt seems tight..
Had O'Reilly's run diagnostic & 4 codes came up. They reset and I took it for a short spin to see if any codes cleared. Engine light came back on, and sso did all 4 codes as follows: LEFT FRONT WHEEL SPEED SENSOR; REAR RIGHT OUTLET SOLENOID SENSOR MALFUNCTION; LOW VOLTAGE; KNOCK SENSOR 1...
Have not been able to get in touch with the mechanic, so my main concern is that the KNOCK SENSOR is the wrong one for my car, or was replaced with a used barely working one, or not replaced at all... if anyone has any suggestions on any of these issues...BTW, Clutch feels great...lol:deadhorse
