I lent my car to my older brother while he is in town. He calls me saying something is wrong with the car. He and his fiance were at the grocery, they came out to leave and within maybe 100 yards or less the car lost power and wouldnt regain any past 20-30 mph. I couldn't believe it.
There's a garage I go to for my regular maintenance that is conveniently located 3 blocks from where I was working. He managed to hazard light it over there and I drove it down a few blocks. Sure enough, at about 25 or so mph it just lost power, dropping in speed. I tried to accelerate it again and failed about that same point.
The rest of last night I spent on these forums searching for solutions while, simultaneously, looking at parts I thought I may need to buy: Transmission, Engine, idk.. fucking whole cars.
This afternoon, I called the garage and they said their guy took it for a drive and got up to about 60 mph--which is fast for the area they are in. There was no issue. They checked the code for CEL and it was an o2 sensor and that would not likely cause the issue I was describing. :dontknow:
At this point, I'm dumbfounded. I want to be happy yet for something like that to happen all of a sudden-- I rather know what the issue is and resolve it than to be driving in fear. Here are a list of mods and recent maintenance reports.

Engine compression has been checked and was fantastic
I will add that I had an issue recently with a parking garage and scraping my exhaust. I will also add that it was raining very heavily. Though I have a CAI it has a hydroshield on it. Despite the heavy rain there, I checked with my bro and there were no deep waters or trenches, but a brief florida heavy downpoor.
