Hey guys,
So throughout the summer my AC has been a little weird but worked at times. I noticed when I was stopped on a hot day, the AC would slowly get hotter and hotter. When I was driving around town and on the highway it would work perfectly. I did check to see if the condenser fan was turning on, and it was. I could hear the clutch on the ac compressor engage and I could see it spin. Recently my AC doesn't work at all. Wether I'm driving or stopped or anything. I go under the hood and now the AC Compressor clutch doesn't engage at all neither does the compressor fan turn on which is making me believe this might be something electrical, like a sensor. I tried doing the diagnostics built into our cars but for some reason nothing happens.
THE STEPS I DID ARE:
1. Make sure the fan is set to off, the temperature is set to the coldest setting and that the right knob is selected to one click above auto.
2. Turned the key to the II position and held down the air circulation button for 10 seconds.
3. Then I pressed the rear defroster button 5 times and let go of both.
Then nothing happened.
If someone could help me or guide me with some things I could try, that would be great.
