I just purchased a new to me rsx-s and bought a new shift knob & boot. After removing the knob/boot, I noticed the shifter is completely covered with surface rust. Any ideas what might cause this?
The bushings are also shot... There's a good amount of play while in gear. I'll have to get that changed out as well.
