I was cruising around, came to a stop light, took off normally. As I shifted into 2nd gear, the engine revved to red line by itself. At this point I still have the clutch pedal pressed down. Shifted into neutral quick, engine still red lining, so I turned off the ignition and coasted to a stop.
When I tried to start the car again, it would start for a few seconds, sounds really rough, then dies within 4-5 seconds. Tried this several times and same results, car would not idle, sounds very rough, then dies.
Got a datalog of the car starting and idling rough before it shuts down. Not sure if the log can point to what may be wrong.
What I checked so far:
- Fuel pump is priming, fuel pressure looks good.
- Throttle is not stuck open.
- Supercharger bypass is not stuck open.
- TPS reading -0.6% closed and 102% WOT.
- Engine is getting spark because it's starting and running for a few seconds.
- Compression is between 165-175 psi on all cylinders
- IACV is clean (just did this a couple days ago). Took it out again this morning and it's spinning freely.
Any thoughts?
