I am having an issue with getting my 02 RSX Type S passed on inspections. I have a Kpro V3 with the secondary O2 disabled since I am running a RH. I passed just fine last time, but this time I am being told that during testing my VIN number is not showing up and he can't pass me. He says that the VIN number reads something like "JH4XXX0000" and he can't even print me a failed test.
The only thing I can think of that I have changed since last inspections is that I cleared the securities, through Kpro, trying to diagnose another issue and have run with no immobilizer for the last couple years. So I took the car down to Acura and had them re-key the immobilizer and now have the immobilizer enabled and car starts up just fine. I took it back to get tested again and it's still showing the same VIN- JH4XXX0000. I read that the VIN is not stored in the 02-04 RSXs, so I'm confused what the problem is here. I have searched, but have not found any similar issue. Is there something else I need to do here or tell the inspector or do I just need to try taking it to someone else for inspection? Anyone else have the same problem?
