Sorry in advance as this has most certainly been answered before but I haven't found anything specifically pertaining to only portal swaps.
after 190,XXX KMs my struts are on their way out, when the time comes ill be stuck with cheap aftermarket replacements (~$100), OEM which id prefer(WAY TO MUCH $$$) or some performance upgrade(recommend something cheap and ill buy it???)
With options 1&2 not seeming too appealing and option 3 being indecisive, I'm looking for alternatives.
I have a "spare" type-s with about 100,XXX KMs, would I be right in assuming that struts from that car are direct bolt in to the base knuckles?
Bonus question: Are the spring rates different between the type-s and base?(cant seem to find a definitive answer on this one....)
