well... so while my 02 Type S was on loan to my kid, the clutch went out. he decided to "fix" it without telling me :shady: Needless to say, shit went wrong.
He stated that the timing jumped. How did he know this? I have no clue yet... nor am I certain that's the case as I haven't actually picked the car up...
SOOOO... the question is, is it even possible for the timing to get knocked off by replacing the clutch? I have looked through the DIY and service manual and don't see any real way to have messed up anything to do with the timing, but wanted to verify...
If the timing IS off, i'm assuming the engine is shot. amiright?
I'm not surprised the clutch went out, 200k miles... probably needed replaced a long time ago.
