So I had my engine rebuilt, and ran perfectly for a good 1,500 miles (about 4 months) till I had a coolant leak I didn't know about, and ended up blowing a head gasket. I ended up replacing the head gasket, and also got the head resurfaced. I started her up and she's running fine but there's this faint engine knock coming from the passenger side. I thought it could be the auto chain tensioner. Replace that, but it didn't fix it. I thought it could be the timing, re timed the motor, didn't fix it. I though maybe it could be a rod knock, I tried unplugging coil packs one at a time and the knock stayed the same trough out each of them. I also confirmed it wasn't a rod knock doing a piston drop test through the spark plug holes, so now I know it's not the timing, or rods. Also I noticed the crank pulley doesn't look like it's going completely straight. It looks kinda wobbly just a tad bit. What could this knock be? I'm supposed to boost the car soon so I need to find out what this knock could be! Someone please chime in?
