I have a base auto 06 RSX. The only mods I have is a front sway bar and Short RAM intake. New brake pads and rotors were installed only 1,500 miles ago. I usually don't slam on my brake pedal until it reaches the floor unless I'm forced to. But, whenever I do suddenly slam on the brake pedal to the floor for a complete stop, there is a hard rubbing sound coming from the front tires. Then, after I apply the brakes gently or hard, the rubbing sound is still there. I turn off the engine to let everything cool down, the sound is gone. I was thinking maybe the rotor is rubbing against the dust shield but there's room. I tried recreating the event and it's not consistent. Any ideas?
