I dont think my cooling fan is coming on?

Its been about a month since I have owned my 05 type S. I love the car I know I probably should not but I have redlined it almost everytime I get behind the wheel. The other day I sat in my car for about 45 minutes the engine running and a/c on. I live in Florida by the way not sure if that makes a difference but it was a hot day. I was picking up a friend from her work and arrived to early. I laid my seat back and took a short nap maybe 10 minutes but when I opened my eyes and looked at my gauges the temp gauge elevated. Normally it is always in the center even when i'm driving the car hard it has never gone past the center. It was between the center and the H a little closer to the H. I immediately put the car in gear and started to drive it. The temp gauge dropped down closer to the center when I was driving. I continued driving around until my friend exited her work. I decided to cancel our plans and just take my car home. I drove it in the next day and the engine didn't seem right. It just seemed like it was running rough. I checked my coolant level and noticed the overflow was empty so I bought 50/50 coolant and added about half of it. I let my engine run and noticed the cooling fan never came on. I went into my car and revved the engine up a bit and still the fan never came on. After adding the coolant my temp gauge is back to the normal position almost near the center after my car is running for a few minutes. I have not let it run for any extended time in park. To see if the engine temp gauge will go back up high. After adding the coolant the engine seems to be running smooth again. I also checked the fuse for the cooling fan and it was fine. My A/C cooling fan comes but the other fan on the radiator looks like it has not turned on in a long time. Any suggestions on this cooling fan. I am going to try and make sure the wiring is ok and try to check if there is any power in the wire. Any other suggestions if there is no power or what I can do to check this. Could I have damaged my engine by sitting in park with the a/c for 45 minutes? Did my aggressive driving habits ruin my engine? I have been over aggressive with the car I have to admit I have been taking it up to the redline a lot and also driving it in high rpms a lot because I love playing with the vtec and feeling the power band. I hope I didn't destroy my engine already I thought the engine in my 05 type S was built to be driven hard ?
