20 seconds and engine shuts down - repeat over/over

I have a 2003 RSX type S. It ran fine before I parked it for a month. When I start it up it has a cylinder miss; runs for 20 seconds and shuts engine off. I can repeat this over and over - 20 seconds running and engine shuts off. IT will not stay running. Where do I start the troubleshooting process. Is the processor programed to automatically shut down the car? open to suggestions
