I'm getting a new engine put into my base 5speed. The people I spoke with to find an engine found a K20A3 from Japan with under 60k miles. Now the only thing that can't be used would be the harness because of being left hand drive. But other than that, everything should fit right?
The reason I ask is because the technician who is putting my engine is saying that he ran into some problems. He said he thinks that the engine came from a vehicle with an automatic. And he was telling me some bracket from the A.C was different. And how the manifolds are different.
So with my 2002 RSX Base 5 speed manual, how different would these parts mentioned be from and JDM variant K20A3 vehicle? I'm guessing the engine came from a Civic Si since he said the intake manifold were different.
I'm sure he get the new engine running. And I think he told me those "issues" because he is usually bombarded with work and he's had my car for almost 3 weeks now. Excuses because it's a big job he's been putting off perhaps, but as long as he gets the job done.
But anyways, opinions on the differences in the parts mentioned?

How different are K-series engines JDM\USDM?
